OK so if you look at the back of an order of service at a funeral and there's a molecule which is so painfully appropriate that it's funny is it wrong to laugh?
So I laughed - don't think anyone apart from MrT noticed.
We travelled up for a swift 24h in the Perfect City for my supervisor's funeral. Out of his 42 PhD students there were over 20 present which I think is a testament to how awesome a guy he was. It was nice to see so many people there even if the circumstances were sad.
It was a sad day which included a lot of funny interludes comparing stories about his love of comedy chemistry papers and April Fool pranks.
Chemistry has lost one of the good guys but he won't be forgotten.
