Post-Christmas Update

Well we survived the Christmas day that wasn't and then made it to the South alive in the evening. Funnily enough the roads were quite clear. Evening spent with MrT's sis and family (including wrinkly new nephew-3 weeks and gorgeous as ever fairy goddaughter - nearly 2). Boxing day was a swift visit further South to MrT's grandparents who hadn't made it to the wedding. Big family get together for afternoon/evening was surprisingly nice. Evil sister-in-lae (married to MrT's older bro) was even nice to us (as in really nice not just pretending!!!).

Now I'm back in our house and my parents and bro arrived just after us yesterday. Mum's 60th today and she's ill, Dad's out in our garage chipping away at the bricks to make a tumble drier vent and I'm starting to get sick and waiting for my new phone to arrive. My brother is trying to pretend he's not miserable about being here since he's now missing his annual walking day with his buddy from uni and MrT's at work. Mum's type 2 diabetic so won't eat anything (but says she can then doesn't!). They're all here til the 1st (MrT's on late shifts and my family's idea of a long lie is 07:30)!!!!!
