He was the voice of rugby and by far the most fair commentator I've ever heard. He made me passionate about rugby - another sad day.
I also realised today that I'm going to have to pretend to be a lot more of a bubblehead to get on in my new job. There can be serious stuff but I have to be fluffy and positive all the time - this is going to be tough!

Fluffy and positive is so hard! I wonder if science is bad for us that way - we focus on trying to work out what's real and true, andyet in other jobs (or other parts of the job of academia) what's actually needed is fake positive - it feels wrong!
