Haggis

Tonight we did some Burns Night stuff at Guides.

Taught them the Gay Gordons - with lots of jumping
Ate some shortbread
Made some haggis out of pompoms, googly eyes etc
Had a Loch Ness monster cake to celebrate 2 being enrolled

Some things which surprised me:

1. They'd never heard of Burns Night
2. They'd never heard of haggis - eventually one remembered eating some once
   
3. They actually believed me when I told them haggis were wee animals and were a bit upset that people might chase them round mountains!

Still they had fun :)
